Hallo, I'm Ali. I began showing characteristics of neurodiversity as a young child but was only formally diagnosed a few years ago (a common experience for AFAB people). In my adult life, I deal with ASC-related sensory processing difficulties, and have a working dog who helps me get around. I work for Oriel College in the Academic Office and am also a part-time Archaeology DPhil student at Jesus, studying the origins of the relationship between humans and dogs. I'm currently fully engaged as a mentor in the Neurodiversity programme, but please do email me at ab.siegenthaler@oriel.ox.ac.uk if you'd like to have a one-off chat about neurodiversity (including how it intersects with sex and gender), disability or anything else mental-health related.
